The Bryce Canyon Half Marathon and 5K would like to make Bryce area residents aware that grant funding is available for specific projects through an application process with the Bryce Community Foundation.

The Bryce Community Foundation is a non-profit entity that operates the Bryce Canyon Half Marathon and 5K on the second Saturday in July each year. July 2022 will mark the Half Marathon’s 19th race.

During the last three years that the Foundation has operated the Half Marathon and 5K, it has dispersed its profits through grant funding back to the communities of the Bryce Canyon area. Some projects included event management, youth bike helmet safety programs, sports equipment, sidewalk construction, signage, athletic equipment, and several tourism related projects benefiting all communities.

The Bryce Community Foundation is a non-profit, 501c4 organization established to aid in the organization, promotion and management of activities, events, and projects that promote health, safety and improve the quality of life in the Bryce area.

The purpose of the Foundation is charitable with the intent of helping to reduce the work of local government. Aid may be directed to tourism related activities and events, recreation and health oriented initiatives, heritage projects, and community safety initiatives that address sustainability and quality of life for the communities of the Bryce area.

The Bryce Community Foundation is pleased to offer grant funding to assist residents of the Bryce area communities with projects or events that will have a direct and sustaining impact on the quality of life in the Bryce area and fall into the parameters outlined.
