-Tropic: State Bank of Southern Utah (map) headed to Half Marathon Start Line

6:00 am - Half Marathon begins in Bryce Canyon City
6:30 am - 5k Walk/Run begins in Cannonville
7:00 am - Lions Club Breakfast ($7 per person, cash or Venmo.)

9:00 am - Roads Open to regular traffic

Registration

Registration and packet pickup will be at the Tropic Town Park located at 200 W Center Street, Tropic, Utah (map)

You can edit and make changes to your registration until Wednesday, July 10, 2024 on raceentry.com. You can verify your registration HERE at Raceentry.com.

If you are not able to make it to packet pickup in person, you may have someone else pickup you packet on Friday. Packets not picked up by 8pm MST on Friday, July 12th are NOT guaranteed and may be be sold to the public. If you wish to pickup your packet Saturday morning at the start line there will be a $20 fee that you may select at the time of registration. NO bibs may be purchased at the start line on Saturday morning.

awards information

Finisher's Medal will be awarded at the finish line in the runner’s corral at Cannonville Town Park. Place medals will be distributed individually upon confirmation from the timer. Awards will not begin until top finishers are confirmed, approximately 8 am.

shuttle information

Shuttle Buses will be available in Tropic and Cannonville. Shuttles are for runners only. Shuttles taking runners back to Ruby’s Inn and Tropic will leave periodically to return runners to their drop off points. The last shuttles will leave when the shuttle is full around 9:00 am. Runners coming from the west of Bryce Saturday morning can park at Ruby’s Inn rodeo grounds. When parking you must be past the Highway 12 and Highway 63 junction before 5:30 am. Runners coming from Escalante can park at the Cannonville Town Park and ride the shuttle to the start line.

Shuttles do not travel from outlying communities to the course, only along the race course to the starting line for the Half Marathon & 5k.

Friday dinner & saturday breakfast

Friday night Spaghetti Dinner will be 6:00 pm at the Tropic Town Park - $10 for Adults / $5 for Children, proceeds benefit the Mustang Booster Club to support student athletics at Bryce Valley High School.

Saturday morning pancake breakfast will be at 7 am at the Cannonville Town park pavilion - $7 for adults and spectators, proceeds benefit the Bryce Lions Club chapter who support programs in the Bryce Valley community.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are strollers allowed on the Half Marathon course?

No. Due to Highway restrictions and for the safety of the runners we are not able to allow strollers on the Half Marathon course. They are welcome on the 5k course. Assisted runners with running equipment are welcome on the course.

Are bikes allowed on the Half Marathon course?

No. Our permits prohibit bikes to trail or support runners. One lane of the highway is closed and the other remains open to alternating traffic behind a Utah Highway Patrol pilot car.

How many aid stations do you have and are they the same distance from each other?

We have 7 aid stations for the Half Marathon and 1 station for the 5k. Please see the Aid Station section for each race for locations and distances. Aid Station locations are marked on the course map.

Can I be reimbursed for or defer my registration?

We are not able to reimburse the registration price but we are able to defer your registration for 1 year. Deferral deadline is May 31st and the fee is $20. Please contact us using the contact form with detailed information. You may transfer your bib to another runner on your account at raceentry.com instead of defer, until the tranfer deadline of June 30th.

I am not able to run, can I transfer my bib to someone else?

Yes you are able to transfer your bib by logging into race entry, until transfers close on June 30th.

I would like to advertise with your race, who do I contact?

My age didn’t show up in the results, or I ran under someone else's number because they had to drop out at the last minute, can it be changed to my name?

On Friday night at packet pickup or Saturday please notify event staff of the change and we will try to accommodate these changes.

Are shirts available to purchase?

At the finish line previous years shirts are available for purchase at discounted rates. The current year runner’s shirt will be available at full price.

I would like a different shirt size what do I do?

On Saturday unworn runners shirts may be exchanged for a different size, if available. Please alert staff at the T-shirt sales tent.

Where are the results posted?

Results are provided by RunSum.com. These are available at the bottom of our Races page.

Where are the pictures posted?

Event pictures will be posted on our Gallery page when available.

Can I send someone else to pick up my packet?

Yes! Feel free to contact us using the contact form with details about the designated packet recipient.

How many runners do you have?

Approx. 1200. Our race is capped due to the allowable permits.
